A Flexible New Function Space

Reimagining Bocado: A Flexible New Function Space
A revitalisation concept is currently underway for Bocado, a 280sqm area within Pittwater RSL that has seen multiple changes over the years and is now underutilised.
With design remnants from previous iterations creating a disjointed aesthetic, the space currently lacks cohesion and a clear identity limiting its versatility and appeal.
At the Board’s request, plans are being explored to
transform Bocado into a dynamic, multi-purpose function venue, designed to serve both members and external guests. The vision is to establish a flexible, contemporary space suitable for everything from social celebrations to private and corporate events.
Proposed Enhancements Include:
- Selective demolition to remove outdated structures and finishes
- A modular furniture system to accommodate theatre-style, cocktail, and dining setups
- New floor finishes for a refreshed and modern look
- Fascia refurbishment with updated cladding to enhance visual appeal
- Feature lighting to elevate ambience and functionality
As part of this transformation, staff are invited to participate in a
naming competition for the reimagined venue.
This project represents an exciting opportunity to unlock the full potential of Bocado and reintroduce it as a vibrant, high-utility venue within the Club.
