Stage 1 Redevelopment: Access & Circulation Upgrades

There’s been a lot happening behind the scenes lately at Pittwater and we’re excited to take you along for the ride!

Stage 1 of the redevelopment is nearing completion, and it’s starting to show in the details. New Platinum lift access and carpark, upgraded outdoor access with stairs connecting The Deck to The Terrace space, a stunning renovation of our newest function area ROMAS, and easier movement throughout the Club.

Not forgetting, our already very popular Pickleball Courts have been launched with this awesome purpose built space fast becoming a key destination for folks of the Northern Beaches to come in for a ‘Sip & Pickle’!

And we were fortunate enough to recently have the Sydney Weekender team drop by to capture all that’s going on, but there’s still a lot more to come too!

It’s been a big effort across the team to get to this point, and this is only the first stage.

Stage 2 & 3 - Redevelopment: Entry Foyer & Carpark

Something exciting is on the horizon for Pittwater…

Early plans are progressing for a transformational upgrade to the Club’s entry and parking experience, reflecting our long-term commitment to convenience, accessibility, and elevated member benefits.

While still subject to council approvals, this proposed enhancement represents one of the most significant changes ever undertaken at Pittwater.

Stage 2 & 3 further encompasses the repositioning of the club’s main entry and internal upgrades. A new foyer structure will be constructed, with circulation and stair connections reconfigured. The existing reception area will be removed to make way for a new museum layout, and internal finishes will be applied across ground and upper levels. Additionally, escalators will be installed on Level 1 to future-proof circulation in line with the club’s long-term master plan.

Finally, the under croft area will be revitalised to improve parking, circulation, and aesthetics. This includes excavation, a new ceiling system with specialist lighting, column cladding, and refreshed landscaping. These works collectively aim to modernise the member journey, ensuring improved accessibility and a seamless club entry experience.

Welcome Home: Sub-Branch Returns to the Heart of the Club

^ Recent photos of the new Sub-Branch office.

After several years operating from a demountable in the car park, the Sub-Branch team has officially returned to a dedicated space within the Club’s main building a move that marks both a symbolic and practical reconnection.

The new office is located in the area formerly occupied by the administration team and has been thoughtfully refurbished to support the important work of the Sub-Branch. Having only recently moved in over the past month, the team is still settling into the space and making it their own.

In excess of $170,000, including significant I.T. upgrades was invested in the Sub-Branch relocation, re flecting the Club’s commitment to creating a well-equipped, professional environment that supports the Sub-Branch’s vital role.

We’re delighted to welcome the Sub-Branch back within the Club’s fold a return that reinforces our shared commitment to community, service, and support.

Over $50,000 was invested in these upgrades, reinforcing the Club’s commitment to delivering a premium, fan-centric space that enhances the live sports experience.

Whether it’s major sporting events, international tournaments, or local games, Sports 365 now delivers a premium, fan-focused experience that caters to casual viewers and dedicated supporters alike.

With enhanced comfort, optimised layout, and direct access to the Club’s food, beverage, and social areas, Sports 365 has become the ultimate destination for live sport on the Northern Beaches.

New Administration Offices

In a major milestone for the Club, the transformation of the former Skillzone/Funland area has been completed, with the space now home to the administration offices, the Mainsail Function Room, and a dedicated staff room.

Over $380,000 was invested in the transformation of this area, delivering a comprehensive redevelopment that addressed both structural and operational needs while enhancing the overall Club environment.

Completed in 2024, the redevelopment addressed long-standing issues with the former administration area, which was split into two outdated sections. The upgrade has unified all administrative functions from the CEO down into one modern, welcoming workspace. The new open-plan design fosters collaboration in a calm and professional setting.

A highlight of the upgrade is the new Mainsail meeting room, named in tribute to the original Mainsail Function Room that once occupied this space before the Skillzone era. This dedicated meeting area offers a versatile, private space for discussions, planning, and functions.

A purpose-built staff room was also introduced, providing a relaxing retreat for staff to gather, hold training sessions, and unwind separate from the more public Club spaces.

With administration moving to the newly renovated section, the Club was proud to welcome the Sub-Branch back into the main building. Previously operating from a demountable in the car park, they now occupy a refurbished/rebuilt section of the old administration area restoring their presence within the heart of the Club.

The relocation of administration has also freed up space to begin work on new Pickleball Courts, continuing the Club’s commitment to expanding recreational offerings.

Meanwhile, Funland hasn’t been forgotten it has found a new home in the foyer area across from Guest Services, ensuring families continue to enjoy a vibrant, fun-filled experience.
